Definitions and Interpretation

ASF Tutoring: A business owned by Andrew Fletcher, trading as ASF Tutoring.

Client: The party requesting Tuition. This is assumed to be the individual who completes the online payment of the Tuition Fee for Tuition.

Student: The party receiving the Tuition, delivered by the Tutor.

Lesson: A period of time during which the Tutor promises to engage in Tuition for the Student, for which the Client has paid the Tutor.

Tuition: Any service supplied by a Tutor which has been requested by the Client.

Tuition Fee: Amount charged for Tuition during a Lesson.

Tutor: The party offering Tuition for which payment of a Tuition Fee has been made.

Terms, Conditions and Cancellation Policy

The following terms are applicable to all Lessons delivered by ASF Tutoring, including 1:1 Tuition, Group Tuition, as well as ad hoc revision Lessons.

1.1 Recurring 1:1 Lessons are booked directly with ASF Tutoring (not via the online booking system).

1.2   Potential Clients can request to be placed on a waiting list for recurring 1:1 Lessons, should their desired time slot not be available.

1.3   New Student Consultations, Small Group Classes and ad hoc 1:1 Lessons are all booked via the online booking system.

1.4   Clients can cancel or reschedule their online bookings via the online booking system, subject to conditions 1.5-1.11.

1.5   1:1 Lessons can be refunded or rearranged (subject to availability) free of charge, if processed more than 24 hours in advance of the Lesson’s stated start time.

1.6  Lessons cannot be cancelled or rescheduled via the online booking system less than 24 hours before the Lesson’s stated start time.

1.7   Tuition Fees are non-refundable if a cancellation or reschedule request is received less than 24 hours in advance of the Lesson’s stated start time.

1.8   At the discretion of ASF tutoring, a credit note may be applied to the Client’s account, should a cancellation request be made by the Client with less than 24 hours notice due to extenuating circumstances, as deemed by ASF Tutoring.

1.9   The Group Lesson Tuition Fee grants the Client access to the series of Lessons listed for that half term.

1.10       A Group Lesson Tuition Fee can be refunded free of charge if the appropriate cancellation request is processed more than 48 hours in advance of the FIRST Group Lesson’s stated start time.

1.11 Individual Group Lessons are not treated as single entities and therefore cannot be refunded on an individual basis.

1.12 Should ASF Tutoring need to cancel a Lesson, the Client will have the option to request a full refund of the Tuition Fee, or receive a credit note to rebook the same Lesson type at a date in the future, subject to availability.

1.13 Clients who book recurring 1:1 Lessons will have first refusal on the rebooking their slot the following term.

1.14 If a Student fails to attend a Lesson without prior communication from the Client, no Tuition Fee refund will be processed. 

1.15 If a Student is more than 30 minutes late to a Lesson and no communication has been received from the Client, the Lesson will be terminated and will be unjoinable by the Student.

1.16 If a Student arrives late to a Lesson, the Lesson will still finish at the stated end time.

1.17 ASF Tutoring retains the right to discontinue Tuition in the event of, but not limited to, the repeated non attendance of the Student, frequent cancellation requests by the Client, the non participation of a Student during Lessons.
